In support of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, CHC Healthcare Group and the CHC Charity Foundation have been organizing the \u201cBlood Donation\u201d event since 2021. Co-hosted by the CHC Charity Foundation since 2022, the initiative has entered its fifth consecutive year. Upholding the mission of \u201cregular blood donation for better health and helping others,\u201d the event promotes ESG values and corporate social responsibility, encouraging participation from employees and neighboring companies.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event, held on May 20, 2025, featured two donation sites and three fully electric mobile blood donation vehicles operating with zero emissions and low noise. These eco-friendly vehicles contributed to a greener, more sustainable donation experience. The campaign attracted 345 enthusiastic donors and successfully collected more than 460 bags of blood, setting a new record and reflecting the community\u2019s remarkable goodwill and unity.<\/p>\n

Dr. Peter Lee, Vice Chairman of CHC Healthcare Group and CEO of the CHC Charity Foundation,\u00a0stated:
\n\u201cThis fifth-year milestone would not be possible without our dedicated partners. With Taiwan facing an aging society and declining birth rates, the Taiwan Blood Foundation has warned that by 2027, annual blood donations may no longer meet demand. By promoting regular donations, we hope to inspire more people to participate and help stabilize the medical blood supply.\u201d<\/p>\n

We sincerely appreciate the support from surrounding enterprises, including\u00a0Shin Great Jungle Co., Ltd., Treasure of Health Co., Ltd., the Nan-Neihu Branch of Hua Nan Commercial Bank, S&S Healthcare Holding Ltd., the Xinhu Branch of Chang Hwa Bank, Creation Food Co., Ltd.,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0the Warehouse Caf<\/em>\u00e9<\/em>, who all contributed generously.\u00a0The CHC Charity Foundation also provided meal boxes from \u201cTriBake sheltered workshop<\/em>\u201d to thank donors for their generosity.<\/p>\n

Special thanks also go to\u00a0Shin Kong Security, Flytech Technology, BMW Taipei Long-Der Motors Co., Ltd., Fortune Information Systems,\u00a0and\u00a0Wende Club,<\/em> as well as the\u00a0third squad of the Taipei City Fire Department<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0local volunteers<\/em>, who set up booths promoting traffic safety and anti-fraud knowledge to remind the public to stay during the event. In addition, the CHC Charity Foundation displayed its branded charity plush toys, drawing public attention and sharing its mission.<\/p>\n

According to the Taiwan Blood Foundation, although overall donation rates have grown, fewer young people are donating. Coupled with increased transfusion needs in an aging society, a stable donor base is more crucial than ever.
